CLUB NEWS

The club and supporters are devastated by the news that open age centre David Whitworth has been told by doctors he will never play again after injuring his neck during the league defeat at Distington on 13/02/10). Its a terrible blow for the club to lose not just a talented player but to lose a highly respected and lovely natured lad admired by all who know him. He will be a big miss not just for the club but for the whole of Cumberland ARL.

Dave, the club just want you to know that we are all behind you and will support you as much as possible during this awful time, along with the majority of the rest of the clubs in the league who have also started to show their support for you on hearing the terrible news. We all hope you have a quick recovery and look forward to seeing you again soon!  Take care mate and all the best.
