Name:  Paul Gorge

Position:  Fullback/Utility

Previous Clubs:  Workington Town.

Veteran fullback who has given good service to the club. Signed up by Workington Town in 1987 as a youngster where he played a big part for the club during one of the clubs most successful era's in the mid 90's. Also played in Towns debut season in Super League in 1996 Although not a regular starter for Elbra, he always makes an impact when he gets his chance. Has now taken up position of head coach at the club.

Name: Eddy Robinson

Position: Scrum-Half

Previous Clubs: Broughton RR ARL.

Classy Veteran scrum-half who is one the clubs stand out performers. A freakishly talented player who has the ability to win games on his own. Still playing a big part for the BARLA GB side, also toured Australia in 2008 with the Cumbria County side. Now player/assistant coach at the club along side Paul Gorge.

Name: David Sewell

Position: Winger/Fullback

Previous Clubs: None

Superb attacking winger with pace to burn, represented the Cumbria County side that won the County Championship in 2008. Has also represented the Irish Students at Open Age level.  Never seems to have a bad game, always gives 100% , a great asset for the club.

Name: Jamie Watson

Position: Centre/Utility

Previous Clubs: Broughton RR ARL, Egremont Rangers ARL. Carlisle Centurions RLFC.

Signed for the club in 2006 from Conference side Egremont Rangers. A pacy centre who can also play on the wing or in the 2nd row. Has also represented the Carlisle Centurions in a successful season in the Summer Conference under then coach Gary Murdock.

Name: Paul Southward

Position: Winger

Previous Clubs: Wigton ARL. Carlisle Centurions RLFC.

Rangy winger who joined the club from Wigton ARL a few years ago.  Played a big part in the clubs success in 2007-2008.

Name: Shane Ackerley

Position: Winger/Fullback

Previous Clubs: None

Speedy young winger/fullback who adapted well to the open age side in his first full season. Still has a lot to learn but he will no doubt improve as his career progresses, being the youngest in the side at 18 he has plenty of time ahead of him. An excellent prospect for the future. Also a member of West Cumbria Under 18 side and current England and GB Community Lions under 18's fullback.

Name: David Whitworth

Position: Winger/Centre

Previous Clubs: Workington Town.

Leading try scorer for the club in 07-08 season with 26 tries.  Re-joined the club in 2007 after an unsuccessful stint with Workington Town. Came through the Elbra youth ranks, has also represented BARLA at under 21 and Open Age level respectively.

Name: Kevin Clark

Position: Prop/2nd Row

Previous Clubs: Broughton RR ARL, Aspatria ARL.

Fearless hard as nails prop forward who just loves hit-ups.

An excellent impact player off the bench, who can also play 2nd row. A Former Cumbria County ARL representative and captain. Signed for club from Broughton Red Rose ARL after starting his career at the now defunct Aspatria ARL club.

Name: Darren Branthwaite

Position: Prop

Previous Clubs: Maryport ARL.

Strapping young prop forward who joined the club in 2005 form local rivals Maryport ARL. Always makes good hard  yards with his tackle breaking ability, aswell as being an excellent impact player. Represented BARLA at under 18 and under 21 level. Has also represented the Cumbria County ARL side.

Name: Paul West

Position: Prop/Utility

Previous Clubs: Seaton Rangers ARL.

A fantastic all round athlete who picked up the Cumberland League Player Of The Year Award in season 07-08, after giving numerous oustanding performances all year. Superb in defence or attack, Paul is one of the clubs top performers who leads by example. 

Name: Jason Moore

Position: Prop/2nd Row

Previous Clubs: Workington Town.

Veteran prop forward and another great servant to the Elbra club. Jason brings a wealth of experience to the side having played pro with Workington Town and is one of 4 surviving Elbra players from the all conquering side of the 90's. He is a hard stopping powerful forward who never gives up.
